Wrigley Obstetrical Forceps
- Wrigley Obstetrical Forceps are helped in delivery when the baby is higher in the mother vagina during fetal distress and retrieve the baby.
- During delivery time doctors gently inserts the blades of Wrigley Obstetrical Forceps the head of the fetus and lock into space. Then Gentle traction is applied to slowly pull babies out of the mothers vagina.
- Obstetrical forceps is an alternative method of the vacuum extraction.
Veress Needle
- It is use to create pneumoperitoneum for laparoscopic general surgery.peritoneum is Putting Air or CO2 in peritoneal cavity e.g it use to provide pneumoperitoneum prior to the abdominal endoscopy.
Vaccum Extractor
- It is used as a alternative to the forceps delivery. it cause less trauma to fetus and mother both . Pre requisites requirements almost same.
- Vacuum Extractor is available two types Metal cup and sialistic cup. It is not be used in the pre-term delivery.
Tenaculum Forcep
- They are used to grab a hold of cervix and tissues.
- When surgical procedure may be conducted. It allow tissues to be held steady . It also ensures that no single tissue present in the surgical site and it helps in manipulating tissues.
- In Hysterosalpingography , Hysteroscopy and Laparoscopic chromo pertubation it also used.
Trocar and Cannula
- Trocar and cannula are used at same time. After cannula and trocar fixed it inserted into the abdominal cavity for laparoscopy process.
- It is used as a port. port is helps entry to telescope and other instruments. It is numbered as per its outer diameter.
Leech Wilkinson’s Cannula
- It is designed and used for tubal patency . It is straight with conical tip instrument. This conical tip is screwed into the cervix and after this dye is injected.
Foleys Catheter
- Foleys Catheter mostly used for drainage of urinary bladder after
the surgery process. - It is used in the Abdominal , Vaginal Hysterectomy, Repair of Vesico vaginal fistula and other operations.
- It is also used for sono salpingo graphy and diagnosis of incompetent cervix
- They are inserted in the bladder with ease less pain and less irritation to the urethra
Plain catheter / rubber catheter
- It is used to empty the bladder in retention of the urine.
- It is used as a tourniquet in myomectomy operation as the alternative clamp
Lanes tissue forceps
- Lane Tissue Forceps is used in maneuvering, grabbing and removing many things from the human body.
- It is also used in the delivery of babies and hold the towel during draping
Myoma screw
Myoma Screw is a gynecological instrument. It is used to extract fibroids from endometrium during the myomectomy. while the clamps are placed It gives traction in a big uterus known as multiple fibroid requiring hysterectomy
