Overview Research Assistant/Associate Research Nurse NUS

The National University of Singapore (NUS) is inviting applications for the position of Research Assistant/Associate (Research Nurse) in the Healthy Longevity Translational Research Program. This program is affiliated with the National University Health System (NUHS) Centre for Healthy Longevity and operates within the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. The successful candidate will contribute to clinical assessments and trial administration in human clinical trials.

Responsibilities:

Duties and Responsibilities
Perform routine clinical assessments in ongoing clinical studies, following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). This includes:
– Collecting biospecimens such as blood and saliva
– Conducting anthropometry measurements (e.g., height, weight, waist circumference)
– Assessing handgrip strength using the 8-repetition maximum test
– Measuring blood pressure and conducting pulse wave analysis
– Administering surveys, questionnaires, and cognitive assessments
Maintain clinical trial documentation, including SOPs, data records, and equipment maintenance
Assess and validate new assessment methods before implementing them into clinical research
Train new staff and students on SOPs, including mentoring and identifying training needs for junior staff
Recruit and schedule participants for study visits
Comply with clinical inventory management procedures and adhere to good clinical practice

Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Nursing
At least 5 years of experience working in a hospital or clinic
Excellent communication skills with participants, staff, and collaborators
Experience in supervisory or administrative positions (advantageous)
Experience in routine clinical assessments in research studies (advantageous)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong interpersonal skills with leadership attributes
Meticulous with good organizational skills
